HIV=AIDS Controversy: Montaigne Was Right

In the words of Montaigne: To be honored in these times is a disgrace. A German activist issues an appeal to others to protest the decision of a prize-giving entity in his homeland. Addresses to appropriate authorities are provided for those who still use the post.

31 October 1998

My dear Colleagues,

Under the old German government it was decided to give the highest German prize for medicine, the Paul- Ehrlich- Prize, to Robert Gallo. The Paul Ehrlich Institute is the central authority for vaccines and diagnostics in Germany. The Paul- Ehrlich- Foundation is the donator of the highest German prize for medicine.
I think you registered, that in Germany we had a change of government. The former BASF (formerly "IG Farben", pharma enterprize) employee Helmut Kohl has gone away, and now we have a new(female) Minister for Health, who is member of the "Green Party". Maybe this is a chance, not only for us in Germany for some good activities against the acceptance of Gallo and his invented virus.
An official paper of the german parliament (Bundestag), which was the result of a investigative parliament comitee, says clearly, that Gallo has stolen the "virus" from Montagnier, and even that Gallo was intriguing against the "discoveries" of Montagnier, describing Montagniers results as "laboratory artefacts"!!!
 I ask myself, if fraud in Germany is an activity of honor, which has to be rewarded by the highest official german prize in medicine!!!
I am trying to organize protest letters to come from all over the country and even from all over the world.
The green party is a kind of natural  enemy  of the pharma industry, maybe we have a chance to change the official attitude to "HIV/AIDS", and this will cause a domino-effect in other countries!
Please write letters of protest to the following adresses. These are the 1) Ministery of Health, and 2) the Paul- Ehrlich- Foundation, and 3) the Green Party in Germany. The more letters they will receive, the bigger is the chance to change something, and to prevent the prize of been given to a sentenced thief an liar. And taking back the decision of giving the prize to Gallo will cause some attantion by the mass media.

Here are some translated fragments of the press release of the Paul-Ehrlich- Stiftung:

Dr. Robert C. Gallo is one of the discoverers of HIV. He will receive the prize on the 14th of March,1999. The director of the Institute of Human Virology, Universität of Maryland, Baltimore, USA, receives the 120.000 DM- prize for the discovery of human exogenene retroviruses.
Gallo got first attention and recognition, as he discovered Interleukin-2, which made the in vitro-cultivation of humanen T- lymphozytes possible. This leaded to the discovery of human T-cell-leukemia viruses (HTLV-I + II). They cause some certain forms of leukemia, and were the first isolated exogene retroviruses found in human beings. These fundamental works made him the man, who discovered HIV, and Gallo was the first one to develop a test for the proof and evidence of HIV. This simple, indirect proof of HIV made it possible, to prevent people receiving blood donation, from getting infected with HIV.
Gallo was even a pioneer concerning the pathogenesis of Karposi- Sarcoma. He discovered the human Herpesvirus -b. Dr. Robert Gallo is worldwide an respected virologist, leading in the exploration of virology and molecular biology, the etilogy of cancer, and immundeficiency causing viruses. After leading the laboratory of tumor cell-biology at the National Cancer , he became director of the new founded Institute for Human Virology at the University of Maryland.
